Courtney Sennish

1 session:
- Sunday, September 7, 2025 | 10 AM - 2 PM (with optional lunch break)

Age minimum: 16

Skill level: All Levels

Max class size: 7

In this workshop, we will spend the day creating water-based monoprints. The monoprinting process involves painting or drawing onto a plexiglass sheet and transferring the image onto paper using an etching press. This process results in unique prints that cannot be replicated.

I will share tips and tricks to achieve beautiful and vibrant monoprints. We will begin the class with quick experiments to showcase the varied visual possibilities of the medium. Participants will spend most of the day working on their own monoprints. They can treat the day as a time for experimentation or come with a planned project. I will demonstrate printing on cotton rag paper and kozo paper.

Class fee: $150

Materials Included:
  • Choice of cotton rag paper for printing: White 300 g/m Hahnemuhle or 300 g/m Soft White Somerset
  • Choice of plexiglass matrix to work on - varying size options between 5”x7” - 12”x16”.
  • Use of studio expendables, including watercolors, water-based crayons, rags, solvents, etc.

Optional: Color kozo papers are available for purchase during the class if you would like to print on colored paper. Participants are welcome to bring their own paper to use.
